This picture of Mother with Aunt Olive (Kratzer) was taken in February 2007 when Olive came to Red Wing with her grandaughter Callie. They had been good friends since Olive married Dad's brother, Jim, about 1945. Although Olive and Jim lived in Montana, Mom and Dad always visited them during their summer vacation to Montana. I remember Mother and Olive cutting rhubarb in the garden or picking strawberries and then making the most delicious pies!! They chatted about families and other things as they worked. It was always fun to visit them. Olive's sudden death about two years ago saddened all of us.
